How To Speed Up DeSmuME 0.9.10 Considerably
This only compatible to DeSmuME 0.9.10 version only. You may download that version at download section.
0) Once you have downloaded and extracted into .zip file in a new folder (If you dont have any archiving program, please download WinRAR.), run the emulator.
1) Open Config tab, go to Frame Skip and uncheck 'Limit framerate'. Then, come back to Frame Skip and set it from 0 (never skip) to 4 or any ; you can experiment with the numbers. Then, uncheck 'Auto-minimize skipping'.
2) Open Config tab, go to Emulation Settings and uncheck every single box except "Use dynamic recompiler". The Block Size is set to 100 on default, so, you may change that number anywhere from 1 to 100.
Notes : The closer the number to 1, the more accurate the graphics will be, but the slower the gameplay will be. And if it is closer to 100, the graphics will be sacrificed for the speed performance.
3) In the Config tab, go to 3D Settings and uncheck the first 3 boxes (except Renderer to SoftRasterizer).
4) In the Config tab, go to Sound Settings and change the Interpolation from Linear (typical, sounds good) to None (fastest, sounds bad). To be honest, it doesn't really sound bad to me actually.
5) In the Config tab, go to Hotkey Config and change your hotkeys. Using 'Fast Forward' and 'Increase Speed' hotkeys will speed up your gameplay maybe.
6) If your gameplay is too fast and you wish to limit the speed, you can go back to Frame Skip and check 'Limit framerate'.
